Use this if your DealMachine login works in one place but not another — for example, it works on your desktop but your phone app says your login is incorrect. During the transition, customers with access to both versions effectively have two logins with the same email address: the email is identical, but each version has its own password or sign-in method, and each only works with its own version.
Login 1: your classic DealMachine login
Your email with your original (classic) password. It works on:
app.dealmachine.com (classic on the web)
The DealMachine Classic mobile apps (iOS and Android)
Login 2: your new DealMachine login
The same email, but with a different sign-in. It works on:
dealmachine.com (new DealMachine on the web)
The new DealMachine mobile app (see Which mobile app do I need? for availability)
Your classic password does not carry over to new DealMachine. The first time you sign in to the new version, use Forgot Password or Use another method (email link or one-time code), then set your preferred sign-in — a new password, Google, or Apple.
How to fix it, step by step
Follow these steps to figure out which login you have working, and get the other one sorted:
On your computer, look at the address bar of the DealMachine site where your login works.
If it says app.dealmachine.com → you're on classic, and the password that works there is your classic password.
If it says dealmachine.com → you're on new DealMachine, and the sign-in that works there is your new one.
Now check which app is on your phone. Open the App Store or Google Play page for the app, or check the name under its icon: DealMachine Classic is the previous app; DealMachine is the new one.
Match the password to the version:
Phone has DealMachine Classic → sign in with your email and your classic password (the one that works at app.dealmachine.com).
Phone has the new DealMachine app → your classic password won't work there. Enter your email, then tap Use another method and choose an email link or one-time code to get in. Once you're in, set a new password (or connect Google/Apple) for next time.

Remember: it's normal to end up with both logins — same email, classic password for classic places, new sign-in for new DealMachine. Changing the password in one version never changes the other.
