Company Ownership

The section of a person's profile that shows the businesses they're linked to, helping you identify the decision-maker behind an LLC-owned property.

Use this article to read the Company Ownership section — the part of a person's profile in DealMachine that shows the businesses a person is linked to, whether as an owner, agent, organizer, or other officer role. It helps you identify the real decision-maker behind a property held by an LLC or other business entity.

Where to find it: Open a person's profile (their People Page) — for example, click a contact under a property's Associated Contacts, or run a Find People search (or Quick Search) and open a result. On the People Page, scroll down to the Company Ownership section or click Company Ownership in the left sidebar; it appears below Insurance & Vehicles. Company Ownership is one section of the People Page, and sections can be pinned or reordered. This section only appears when there is company data or a signal that the contact may be a business owner.

Verified company records

If the contact has verified company records, you'll see a card for each company they're associated with. Each card may include:

  • Company name

  • Role

  • Business type

  • Jurisdiction/State

  • Year established

  • City/State

  • Registered business address

Modeled Business Owner

If no verified records are found but DealMachine's data predicts the contact is a business owner, you'll see a card labeled Modeled Business Owner with the message: "This contact is predicted to be a business owner, but no verified public company records were matched yet."

This means DealMachine flagged the contact as likely a business owner based on behavioral signals, but they haven't been matched to a company in the public registry yet.
