Use this article to generate a print-ready postcard in DealMachine by describing what you want in plain language. The Design Creator builds a front and back for you, lets you refine the result with simple instructions, and publishes it so it's ready to use in a campaign - no design experience required.
Where to find it: Open the Direct Mail app in the left sidebar and go to Design Creator.
Generate a design from a prompt
Navigate to Direct Mail > Design Creator.
Select the layout and size (4x6, 6x9, or 6x11).
Select a theme (optional).
Select the property you want to feature.
Type a prompt describing the postcard you want.
Click Create.
Choose a property image
Turn on the Street View toggle to use the property's Street View image for the property image. With Street View off, the design uses an image you've uploaded, or no image if you haven't uploaded one.
Apply a theme
Pick a theme to control the design's color palette and typography. If you don't apply a theme, DealMachine chooses an appropriate look based on the mail type you selected during setup.
Refine your design
You have two ways to make changes:
Edit the HTML directly in the editor. The live preview updates as you type, and a "Valid HTML" indicator shows whether the markup is good.
Use the chat input to give a natural-language instruction, like "Make the headline bigger." The editor and preview update automatically.
Preview front and back
Toggle between Front and Back to see each side in the Live Preview, with sample values filled in for your variables. Click the image preview, or the Expand control, to open a full-size preview.
Publish and manage your design
When both the front and back have valid HTML, click Publish. Once published, the design becomes available to add to a campaign in the campaign builder.
From the Publish dropdown you can also:
Unpublish a design to take it out of new campaigns. Campaigns already using it keep running.
Duplicate a design to create a copy you can edit separately.
Archive a design you're no longer using. Archiving is blocked if the design is part of an active campaign.
Tip: If you publish changes to a design that's part of an active campaign, the next send reflects your updates.
