Use this article to track when a homeowner scans the QR code on your DealMachine postcard and turn that interest into a follow-up. When a QR code is scanned, DealMachine records the scan and displays it in your Mail Analytics, where you can create a CRM opportunity and follow up with interested leads whenever you like.
Where to find it: Open the Direct Mail app in the left sidebar and go to Analytics.
How scans are tracked
When a postcard's QR code is scanned, a record appears in the Mail Analytics section showing the property address and the time of the scan. Scan events also appear in the campaign's tracking timeline.
Create an opportunity from a scan
Each scan record shows a Create Opportunity button. Click it to create a new CRM opportunity named for the property address, set to the "Lead" stage and linked to that property.
If an opportunity already exists for that property, the button shows View Opportunity instead, so you don't create a duplicate - click it to jump straight to the existing record.
