Use this article to cancel a scheduled or pending DealMachine mail campaign before it goes to the print provider. If you spot a mistake - the wrong design or the wrong recipients - cancelling stops unsent pieces and prevents unnecessary spend.
Where to find it: Open the Direct Mail app in the left sidebar and go to Campaigns.
How to cancel a campaign
Select the campaign that you want to cancel. In the top-right corner, click Cancel. A confirmation dialog appears and tells you how many pieces will be stopped. Finally, click Cancel Campaign. Once cancelled, the campaign is marked Cancelled on your dashboard and no further mail is sent.
What happens to a campaign that's partly sent
If a large campaign has already started sending when you cancel, any pieces still queued are stopped, and pieces that already went out stay sent. You'll see the breakdown of what was stopped versus what was already on its way.
Note: Cancellation has a cutoff. If a campaign is already inside the mail processing window, some pieces may have been submitted to the print provider and can't be pulled back. The confirmation dialog shows you what will be stopped and what has already been sent.
